ipod touch swap for different ipod *

i have an ipod touch 1st generation that wont power up for some reason. it was working perfect one day then the next day i cant turn it on or charge its just dead. might be a simple fix but not my sort of thing. iam willing to swap it for any ipod that fits on an ipod doc station that i can put music on not realy bothered as long as i get music no nanos cheers
